First Floor Gallery presents itsย first collaboration with Zimbabwean artist, Helen Teede, It Is The Without, is a new body of work, inspired by the possibility of leaving the home she grew up in. These canvases and works on paper, are a melodic rumination on the idea of loss, nostalgia and memory. As an insightful and accomplished abstractionist, Teede is a rare phenomenon in contemporary Zimbabwean art. Not to be missed.

Rapper Tendai Nguni aka Tehn Diamond is on a mission to make 2017 the year of Zim Hip Hop with this move, taking his A Few Good Poems (AFGP) album on a tour of Zimbabwe.
King Dimpleย will be joined by Ammara Brown, Simba Tagz and Thaiwanda Thai on a tour of ten cities in the country and they promise a performance like never seen before
In a statement released to press, Tehn says, โYes am promoting my album on the tour but more importantly, this is about getting Zimbabwean hip hop back to a place where it can compete on a continental scale. If we can have our own people supporting the genre, it makes it easier to export. Itโs time we also saw Zim hip hop represented on Africaโs big stages like the MTV Base awards and the Hip Hop Awards so I am calling on all hip hop lovers in Zim to come to the show and support the movement because from here we are taking the show to the rest of Africaโ
